Housewarming catering
Grahapravesam and paal kaachal meals cooked around the homam, served in a house that has no kitchen set up yet — from 25 guests to 500.
How we work
A grahapravesam is the one function where the venue is brand new and completely unequipped. There is often no gas connection, no water storage, no working sink, and a floor nobody wants scratched. The homam runs in the pooja room while we are trying to cook lunch for 200 people twenty feet away.
We plan housewarmings as a self-contained setup: our own cylinders, water drums, floor sheeting and vessels, sited in the car park or the terrace rather than in the new kitchen. Nothing heavy is dragged across new flooring and nothing stains a new wall.
The menu tracks the ritual. Paal kaachal and the first cooking are the family's; ours begins with the tiffin after the homam and the leaf lunch that follows once the vadhyar finishes.

Case study
New independent house, Mogappair · 220 guests
The family moved in the day before the function. The kitchen had a slab and nothing else, the gas connection was still a week away, and the new marble flooring had been polished that morning.
We set the entire cooking bay in the driveway with our own cylinders and water drums, laid protective sheeting on every route into the house, and ran the leaf service through a single door so foot traffic was contained.
Outcome — Lunch was served on time to 220 guests and the family took possession of a house with no marks on the floor and no vessels left in the new kitchen.
Service areas
We cater at new independent houses, apartments and villa projects. Where the block does not allow gas cylinders inside, we cook in the parking area or bring food in sealed hot cases and serve fresh on site.
Frequently asked
Yes. We bring our own cylinders, water drums and vessels and set up a self-contained cooking bay outside the house.
We cook outside the house, lay protective sheeting on walkways, and never use new kitchen counters or sinks. Everything is carried out at the end.
Yes, that is our most-requested grahapravesam menu, cooked in dedicated vegetarian vessels.
25 guests for a housewarming lunch, which many families book alongside a homam tiffin for a smaller group.
Yes. We work backwards from the vadhyar's timing so tiffin is ready the moment the homam concludes.
Tell us the homam timing, the guest count and whether the house has power and water yet — we'll plan the setup around it.
